Early in our sourcing journey, we discovered how difficult it was going to be to find suppliers of high-quality ingredients whose ethics matched our own. It was all about balancing the wax, wicks, oils and packaging.

Our soya supplier had already made substantial advances in sustainable operations. They run programmes and sustainable foundations around the world to help communities large and small be successful through sustainability.

We chose to make every element of Four Scents as environmentally friendly and sustainable as possible. It’s our choice to use non-toxic, eco soya wax, paired with essential oils that have been extracted naturally, and to package every product in a more environmentally friendly way through the use of recyclable packaging.

SUSTAINABLE ECO SOYA PRODUCTION

Our supplier is committed to sustainable....

Our supplier is committed to sustainable soy production. This includes protecting sensitive environments, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, promoting responsible working conditions and striving to end deforestation related to the production of soy. Their ethics match our ethos, and it was an easy choice for Four Scents to use their wax in our scented candle range.

As well as being biodegradable and from renewable sources, soya wax also has a host of other benefits, including an even, clean and long-lasting burn with excellent fragrance holding qualities. Take a look at our blog for more information on eco soya wax and why it is the Four Scents choice.

Our supplier is committed to sustainable....

Our essential oils are of the highest quality. It was important to Four Scents to work with someone as passionate as we are about natural essential oils. Our resident Alchemist Perfumer and Scent-Master travels the world discovering where the most potent essential oil ingredients grow, and is highly skilled at pairing the scents to leave a lingering and delicate aroma.

100% recyclable packaging

PACKAGING PLEDGE

Resuable, Recyclable & Sustainable....

The Four Scents range is hand-poured in glass jars which are reusable or recyclable. The boxes in which the candles are packaged are made from sustainable, recycled board. We do not use any laminates or coatings on our card boxes to ensure they are 100% recyclable. All literature and ecommerce packaging is also made from and printed on uncoated, recyclable paper and card.

We pledge to continue to follow the reduce, reuse, recycle mantra with all Four Scents packaging and will continue to follow these principles as far as realistically allows. We designed all our packaging including the e-commerce efficiently to fit multiple products, enabling less overall packaging material while maintaining a luxury feel.

FOUR SCENTS REFORESTATION

OUR PLEDGE: We’re happy to announce that we’ve partnered with One Tree Planted dedicated to global reforestation. They plant trees to restore nature and biodiversity. We pledge to continue to follow the reduce, reuse, recycle mantra for all Four Scents packaging and will continue to follow these principles as far as realistically allows.
